Meeple group

Meeple pendants inside a wine glass. "What's a meeple?"  you may ask.  It's a wooden (or in this case plastic) gaming piece typically used in euro-games (also known as german style board games). Meeples typically take the shape above but can also be shaped to represent different types of people or even animals and other figures.  There are typically two sources that people credit as the original source for the word: the first one is the game carcassonne (this is the first time this word appeared in a rule set for a board game) and the second is a gaming con who reportedly used it to mean "my people".
